Feature

Magpow MPA111 is a 5-minute quick curing, extra weight added epoxy resin adhesive specially formulated for steel bonding. It is a two-part, solvent-free system that cures rapidly at room temperature to form a strong, durable, and impact-resistant bond. This adhesive features excellent adhesion to metals, high shear strength, good chemical resistance, and minimal shrinkage upon curing. The "extra weight added" formulation provides superior gap-filling properties for uneven surfaces.

Application Scope

This epoxy adhesive is extensively used for bonding steel, iron, aluminum, copper, and other metal surfaces in automotive parts assembly, construction steel structures, machinery repair, and industrial maintenance. It is also suitable for bonding metal to metal, metal to ceramic, and metal to rigid plastics in applications requiring quick handling strength and high structural integrity.

Using Method

Step 1: Surface Preparation

• Clean surfaces thoroughly to remove any oil, grease, rust, dust, or moisture. For best results, roughen smooth surfaces with sandpaper and degrease with a solvent.

Step 2: Adhesive Application

• Dispense equal volumes of Component A and Component B (1:1 ratio) onto a clean, disposable surface.
• Mix thoroughly until a uniform color is achieved (about 30-60 seconds).
• Apply the mixed adhesive evenly onto both prepared surfaces and join immediately.
• Apply firm pressure and clamp or hold parts in place until initial set occurs.

Step 3: Curing Time

• Initial set occurs within 3-5 minutes at 25°C. Handling strength is achieved in about 1 hour. Full bond strength is reached after 24 hours.
• Shear Strength (Steel-Steel, 25°C*48h): ≥10 MPa.

Warning

• 1 Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
• 2 Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of skin contact, wipe off with a dry cloth and wash with soap and water before the adhesive hardens. If eye contact occurs, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• 3 Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children.
• 4 Dispose of unused mixed adhesive as hazardous waste. Do not pour into drains or waterways.

Storage and packing

• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use.
• Shelf life is 24 months in original unopened containers. If stored beyond shelf life, re-test before use.
• Packing: 56g/pcs (A+B) in dual-cartridge or twin-tube format; sold as single item; bulk packaging available upon request.
• OEM customization accepted (min. order: 50,000 pieces).
